Philadelphia home invasion suspect beat woman, stole money

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Thursday, January 20, 2022, at approximately 1:30AM, the victim, a 52-year-old-female, was inside her apartment on the 9xx block of Winter Street when she heard someone knocking on the lobby door. When she opened the door, an unknown black male armed with a knife forced his way inside her apartment demanding money. The suspect then punched her several times in her face causing her to collapse to the floor. The suspect then took her black purse containing identification and $200 then fled. The victim was transported to Jefferson Hospital, where she was treated for swelling to her left cheek and forehead.
