Sicklerville man charged for weekend shooting at Rack’s Pub and Grill

MONROE – On Saturday, February 5, 2022, patrol units were dispatched to Rack’s Pub and Grill for a subject outside armed with a gun. Units arrived to hear the sounds of gunshots coming from the side/rear of the building. As officers ran towards the sound of the gun fire, the accused left the parking lot from the other side of the parking lot. A bystander was able to point out the suspect vehicle fleeing to another officer arriving and that suspected vehicle was located shortly after.

The suspect led officers on a pursuit which ended with the suspect coming to a stop and fleeing on foot into a wooded area in Winslow Twp. He was apprehended soon after. It was later found that the staff at Rack’s had removed the subject from their establishment due to an altercation and the male later returned with a gun and threatened several staff members. Rack’s staff acted quickly by calling 911 and locking down the bar to prevent the subject from reentering. The male then fired approximately 9 rounds into the air while driving through the parking lot and fled.

Suspect: Jehuti Sundaita, age 50, of the 100 block of Annie Way, Sicklerville, New Jersey. Anyone with additional information can contact Det. Don Darcangelo # 7107 at 856-728-9800 ext 524 or email at ddarcangelo@monroetwppd.org.
