Two teen girls arrested after brawl at Delaware high school

Newark- The Delaware State Police have arrested two juvenile females for Inciting a Riot and related charges after a large fight that occurred at Glasgow High School yesterday.

The initial investigation began on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at approximately 11:39 a.m., when the Delaware State Police School Resource Officer at Glasgow High School located at 1901 South College Avenue, Newark, DE, was made aware of a fight involving 8 students in the stairwell of the school. The SRO and school staff members broke up the initial fight, but then the group separated in 4 separate smaller groups and continued actively fighting throughout the hallways. Numerous officers responded to the school and were able to assist in taking 9 students into custody. One of the suspects, a 17-year-old female of Bear, DE was located in possession of a taser. There one student who sustained lacerations to the face as a result of the fight.

A total of nine students were taken into custody and transported to Troop 2. Seven students were issued criminal summons for disorderly conduct.

One 17-year-old female suspect was charged with Rioting (Felony), Carrying a Concealed Dangerous Instrument, Menacing, and Disorderly Conduct. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $2,200.00 unsecured bond.

The second 17-year-old suspect was charged with Rioting (Felony), Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $2,200.00 unsecured bond.
