One shot and killed Saturday morning in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – On Saturday, at 2:48 am, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Sandalwood Blvd. on the report of a shooting.

Officers arrived at scene and found evidence of a shooting but no victim. Officers received updated information that the victim was being transported by a second victim to an area hospital. That victim flagged down officers in the 1800 Block of E. Dublin-Granville Rd., they rendered aid to the victim until Clinton Twp. Medic 61 arrived.

23-year-old Thomas Swanson, was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Despite receiving lifesaving medical treatment, Swanson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:57am. The second victim was not injured out of this incident.
