Toms River school students deliver Valentine’s Day cards to Veterans

by TR Schools

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Congressman Andy Kim continued his tradition of delivering Valentine’s Day cards to local veterans, and Toms River Regional Schools continued helping him do so.

In 2022, the theme of the initiative was “Valentine’s for Veteran Heroes,” and like in 2020, students from Beachwood, Cedar Grove, East Dover, and West Dover elementary schools– as well as other district students in scouting clubs– created beautiful and heartfelt cards for this worthwhile effort. Those cards were picked up late last week, and then delivered by the congressman to the American Legion on Sunday, and the Brick Veteran Clinic on Monday.

The students truly embraced this project, and worked diligently on their cards, as evidenced by the photo gallery below. To all of our veterans throughout greater Toms River and beyond: Happy Valentine’s Day!
