Bernie Gores has had a rough life. He has now been killed in action at least two times. The first time was in Afghanistan when he was executed by the Taliban. This week, Bernie Gores has been killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Who is Bernie Gores?

But who is Bernie Gores and why does he have such bad luck?

According to the internet, Bernie Gores is an American Journalist. Most likely the kind who doesn’t know how to keep his head down, but he’s also the star behind an online gaming meme and internet hoax that has baby boomers on Facebook and Twitter questioning the legitimacy of the mainstream media this week.

After surviving his Taliban execution, “CNN Reporter” Bernie Gores was back in the center of another warzone but was met with a similar fate.

Bernie Gores of course is a fake name used by online gamers to get others to say the name, which is in fact, a racial slur phonetically.

The meme was circulated on Twitter and Facebook by since banned accounts, but was revived today placing the fictional reporter in Ukraine.

According to the Althea Group, “The meme was shared widely within Reddit’s gaming and streaming communities; the comments on manoffat’s post include continuation of the meme and celebration that it was shared on a mainstream platform like Twitter. Reddit users on the r/wingsofmeme thread recalled other escalations of trolling against Wings, including when his image was put on a list of missing persons following the Beruit blast.”

It came up Thursday on Reddit and other social media sites and now being used to trick people into thinking the story of Bernie Gores is a real one and that the media has been using Gores as a stock photo and propaganda piece.

This time, reported by a fictional account, CNN Ukraine, Gores was killed by a mine planted by the Russian invaders.

The story of Bernie Gores, all of them are completely false, intended as a prank and meme. Only time will tell which far off country Bernie Gores dies in next.
