Allentown police say driver lost control in fatal crash on MLK Boulevard

ALLENTOWN, PA – The Allentown Police Department is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early this morning.

“On Saturday, 5 March 2022, at approx. 3:28 am, Allentown Police, Fire and EMS responded to the 1200 blk. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. for a single vehicle accident,” the Allentown Police Department said in a statement. “Upon arrival it was determined the operator and a passenger in the vehicle were deceased.”

A preliminary investigation by police crash scene investigators revealed the vehicle was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King when it lost control, leaving the roadway, and striking a cement structure.

This accident is being investigated by the Allentown Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
