Buffao teen charged after threatening victim with illegal gun

BUFFALO, NY – A Buffalo teen has been arraigned after an argument escalated to the brandishing of an illegal gun, Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn said.

19-year-old Jaylan Holliday of Buffalo was arraigned on Friday morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Barbara Johnson-Lee for an incident that took place last Thursday.

“At approximately 11:30 p.m., Buffalo Police officers responded to a home on Hempstead Avenue after the victim called 911,” D.A. Flynn said. “The defendant is accused of threatening the victim with a gun during an argument, which placed the victim in reasonable fear of injury or death.  The officers allegedly found a loaded illegal handgun inside of a kitchen drawer.”

Holliday is scheduled to return for a felony hearing on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. He was held on $100,000 bail.
