36 Year-Old Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting in Southwest Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – Yesterday, 36-year-old Harry Cokley was arrested and charged with the 1st Degree Murder of Morris Hood Jr.

According to Police, β€œOn February 28, 2022, at approximately 1:09 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers were dispatched to a dwelling in the 200 block of Monastery Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. When officers arrived at the location, they observed 33-year-old Morris Hood Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead by medical personnel. β€œ

Morris Hood had been shot multiple times.

During the investigation, Police were able to identify Cokley as the suspect.

Cokley is currently being held at the Baltimore City Central Booking Intake Facility.
