Multiple people injured in Holiday City fire in Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ – Toms River firefighters and police responded Sunday night to a home on Mount Everest Lane in the Holiday City, Silverton retirement community. The residential structure fire was responded to by multiple Toms River fire companies including Silverton Volunteer Fire Company, Pleasant Plains Volunteer Fire Company and Troms River Fire Company No. 2.

Unconfirmed reports include as many as three first responders who required medical assistance.

According to unofficial reports, two occupants of the home required medical attention. No further information is available at this time. This was the second major residential fire of the day on Sunday in Toms River.
