21 Year-Old Shot Multiple Times in Baltimore, Suspect Arrested

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Thursday, March 24th on the 1800 Block of Eagle Street in Southern Baltimore. The police were on a routine neighborhood patrol when they spotted the victim.

According to Police, “At approximately 1:17 p.m., Southern District officers heard gunfire while conducting neighborhood patrol. Officers canvased the area and discovered a 21 year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators learned that responding officers apprehended a person of interest armed with a handgun, fleeing the shooting location. Southern District Shooting detectives subsequently arrested and formally charged 30-year-old Devonta Cox with 1st Degree Attempted Murder.”

The 21 year-old victim suffered many gunshot wounds to both his face and his body and is in critical condition in the hospital

The suspect remains in Central Booking, where he is being held without bail.
