Unoccupied Vehicle Shot Multiple Times

FREDERICK CITY – Police in Frederick City investigating a shooting in February have identified a suspect wanted for that incident.

“On Feb. 22, 2022, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to 1000 Heather Ridge Drive, in Frederick City, for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located evidence of a firearm being discharged and an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck several times. There was no evidence that the gunfire struck any persons,” police reported.

During the investigation, evidence and information was obtained that positively identified the shooter in this case as Jajuan Michael Anderson of Frederick.

Detectives filed criminal charges against Anderson for charges related to the illegal possession of a firearm and a felon in possession of a firearm. An arrest warrant was issued through the Frederick County District Court Commissioner’s Office and Anderson was apprehended on March 30, 2022.
