D.C. Police Make Arrest in Shooting Death of 54 Year-Old Woman

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department have made an arrest in a homicide which took place on the 500 Block of Division Avenue in Northeast D.C. This incident occurred on February 9th.

According to investigators, “At approximately 3:06 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location after hearing the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, the members located an adult female victim, inside a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where despite all life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.”

 54 year-old Pamela Thomas, of Northeast D.C. was named as the victim.

Police also stated, “On Friday, April 1, 2022, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) located and arrested 22 year-old Dion Lee, of Northeast, DC. He has been charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.”
