Kids Targeted in Missed Drive-by Shooting in Utica

UTICA, NY – Police in Utica say a group of teens were the intended target of a failed drive-by shooting in the 1500 block of Oneida Street on Tuesday at around 8:12 pm.

Police responded to the report of shots fired, and once at the location, officers learned that a group of juvenile, who were outside of 1546 Oneida Street, were shot at by during a drive-by shooting.

“Thankfully, no one was injured at this time. Several spent shell casings were recovered in the roadway,” the Utica Police Department said. “The suspect vehicle is described as dark in color. last fleeing the scene northbound on Oneida Street.”
