Man Charged for Assaulting Woman in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD – A female victim told police she was assaulted by Jesse Lee Kennard, 33, of Cumberland on Thursday at around 3:00 am. Responding officers said the female victim had injuries consistent with her allegations against Kennard.

“Officers contacted the parties involved and separated them. It was reported to officers that a victim had been assaulted by Jesse Kennard,” the Cumberland Police Department said. “Officers observed that the victim had sustained injuries consistent with her statement. Kennard was arrested and transported to the police station for processing.”

He was then taken to Central Booking. Kennard was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Detention Center, held without bond.
