Police Make Arrest in the Shooting of Woman in Southwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department has made an arrest in the March 23rd shooting of a woman. This incident took place on the 100 Block of Joliet Street in Southwest D.C.

According to Police, “At approximately 10:58 pm on March 23rd, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.”

23 year-old Rasheed Jenkins, of Northwest, DC was arrested on April 17th, and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.
