Police Seeking Vandals Who Poured Tar on Piscataway Cricket Pitch

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Piscataway Township Police Department is looking for information about another incident of vandalism at the Normandy Drive cricket fields, this time the intentional smearing of tar on one of the cricket pitches.

“These acts of vandalism are not the mere destruction of Township property but an ugly expression of defiance and intolerance against the many Piscataway residents who enjoy the sport of cricket and have been looking forward to warm weather to begin playing again,” PTPD Chief Thomas Mosier said.

This incident is similar to the previous vandalizing of an adjacent cricket pitch where cement was intentionally placed on it.

Anyone with knowledge about these acts of vandalism is encouraged to contact Lieutenant Chris Young at (732) 562-6564 or CYoung@PiscatawayNJ.org.
