Victim Injured During Armed Robbery in Allentown

ALLENTOWN – The Allentown Police Department arrested two people for an armed robbery on Tuesday that resulted in injuries. Chakina Leftwich, 28, of Newark and Shantel Collins, 33, of Allentown were both charged with robbery and assault.

According to police, on Tuesday at approximately 04:55 AM, officers responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in the 600 blk of N. Front St.

“Upon arrival, Officers contacted the victim,” the police department said in a statement. “The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Responding officers obtained a description of the suspects and the vehicle they were utilizing during the commission of the crime.”

Detectives with the Allentown Police Criminal Investigations Division located the suspect vehicle with two occupants inside.
