Victim Stabbed Multiple Times in Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park

NEW YORK, NY – A brutal and vicious stabbing took place last week in Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. The victim was stabbed eight times by a suspect described as a black male wearing torn jeans, a black jacket, and a white hoodie.

The two men were engaged in an argument in the park before one pulled a knife and stabbed the other at least eight times last Monday at around 5:50 pm.

The park has long been viewed as a drug den for homeless heroin users and junkies, and the place for out of towners to go to grab their daily doses of weed and heroin. In recent years, gentrification of the East Village has seen a welcome change for the better within the neighborhood and the park.
