Schenectady, NY – Police tonight are saying a morning gun incident on Brandywine Avenue has been deemed to be unfounded.

“At approximately 9:58 a.m. the Schenectady County Dispatch Center received a call from an individual stating they had just been in the area of 129 S Brandywine Avenue and saw what appeared to be a male pointing a large gun out the window,” police said. “Responding officers quickly set up a perimeter diverting both vehicle and foot traffic due to the nature of the complaint. Individuals that were inside the building were asked to exit and brought to a safe location. Further investigation was completed by officers on scene and numerous apartments inside the building were checked with negative results. Currently, the incident appears to be unfounded.”
