Suspicious Vehicle At Royal Farms Leads to Weed Bust

Gambrills, MD – On May 1, 2022 at approximately 3:15 a.m. officers responded to the area of the Royal Farms at 700 Annapolis Road for a report of an occupied suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival officers located a silver 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe occupied by an adult male. Upon making contact with the driver officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. During a subsequent search officers located approximately 180 grams of suspected marijuana and a backpack containing a black semi-automatic 9mm handgun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly
