Philadelphia Police Investigating Ambush Style Shooting in Kensington

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police are investigating a shooting Thursday in Kensington.  Now, the Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group is asking for the public’s assistance for information in reference to a shooting that occurred on the 1800 block of E. Clementine St on May 5, 2022.

“While standing by the corner of Clementine St and Kensington Ave, a male victim was ambushed and struck by multiple gunshots by another male simultaneously firing two semi-automatic handguns, one of which had an extended magazine,” police reported. “The offender fled around the block, last seen running southbound on Ruth St across Clearfield St. The victim was treated at Temple Hospital and listed in critical condition.”
