Stray Bullet Strikes Home with Family Inside in Capitol Park Neighborhood

DOVER, DE – Police in Dover reported a shooting in the Capitol Park neighborhood of Dover on Monday evening that struck a home with a family inside

According to the Delaware State Police, on Monday at approximately 7:22 p.m., troopers responded to the 100 block of South Governors Boulevard in Dover for a report of shots fired.

“Upon their arrival, troopers located multiple spent round casings in the area. The ensuing investigation revealed that one residence had been struck by one round while it was occupied by a 33-year-old female, a 10-year-old juvenile, and a 6-year-old juvenile,” police said. “In addition, two unoccupied vehicles that were parked in the area were struck by gunfire. No one was injured during this incident.”
