Police Pull Vehicle Out of Water Near 15 Mile Creek Road

FLINTSTONE, MD – Rescue crews were deployed to an area just east of Flintstone along 15 Mile Creek Road after being alerted about a submerged car in the water.

The Allegany County water rescue team was joined by local fire department, EMS and law enforcement personnel after a passing vehicle noticed the roof of a car was visible from beneath the water. After a brief search, the crews located the car and conducted a dive operation for possible victims.

The local dive team did not find any victims and the car was pulled from the river. The airbag was reportedly deployed. Maryland State Police also deployed a helicopter to the scene and no victims were found through the aerial search either.
