Four Parked Cars, 40-year-old Man Struck by Random Gunfire in Savern

SAVERN, MD – On May 15, 2022, at approximately 7:10 p.m., officers responded to the 8500 block of Pioneer Drive in Severn for a report of gunshots. An unknown suspect fired several shots toward a group of individuals. Several rounds struck four parked vehicles, and one of the rounds fragmented and struck a 40-year-old male victim who sustained a superficial, non-life-threatening injury. The victim declined medical treatment. Five spent 9 mm cartridges were located in the area.
