Suspect Beat Victim With A Cane, Utica Police Report

UTICA, NY – Police in Utica were dispatched on Monday to a fight that took place at a residence on the 800 block of Oswego St regarding.

“Upon arrival, officers were met by the victim who stated that a male had assaulted them by striking them about the head and body with a walking cane,” the department said. “The victim stated that they received several cuts and contusions due to the assault. These injuries were confirmed by the responding officers, and the victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center by the Utica Fire Department for further treatment.”

The suspect, Kareem Cohen age 33, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Utica Police Department.
