Driver Charged for Marijuana, Gun During Routine Traffic Stop

SEVERN, MD – A routine traffic stop on Reese Road in Severn turned into an arrest for the Anne Arundel Police Department after officers found marijuana and a handgun.

Police said, on Tuesday, at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop of a white 2006 Nissan Armada in the area of Reese Road and Pioneer Drive in Severn.

“Upon approaching the vehicle officers detected the odor of marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 20 grams of suspect marijuana and a black 9mm handgun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly,” the department said.


Noah Joel Ferguson, 23, of Severn was charged.
