Police in Baltimore Make Arrest in Shooting

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department have made an arrest in a shooting that took place on April 17th. This incident happened on the1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Central Baltimore.

According to police, “At approximately 8:49 p.m., Central District patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of a shooting. Once there, officers located a 53-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.”

41-year-old Calvin Hemphill Jr. was arrested and transported to Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged with attempted 1st degree murder.

Police believe Hemphill shot the 53-year-old male victim.
