Medical Examiner’s Office Investigating After Human Remains Found in Woods in Turtle Creek

TURTLE CREEK, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department said human remains were discovered in the woods near the Woodland Hills High School Wolvarena stadium on Monday.

Police reported that at around 3:33 pm, County 9-1-1 dispatch was notified about human remains located in a wooded area near the 1200 block of Lynn Ave.

“First responders arrived and determined the remains to be human,” the ACPD said today. “Homicide detectives are working with the medical examiner’s office on cause and manner as well as identification.”

Police did not release any further information at this time.
