Parsippany Police Say Increase Police Presence to Greet Students on Wednesday

Shooting reported near elementary school in Uvalde, Texas

PARSIPPANY, NJ – The Parsippany Police Department has announced it will be increasing police activity around the town’s schools on Wednesday in the wake of the school shooting in Texas where a lone gunman killed 19 children and 3 adults.

“As we continue to learn more about the tragic and senseless events that took place in Uvalde, Texas, we want to express our heartfelt condolences to all who are affected,” the department said. “We want to assure everyone that the Parsippany- Troy Hills Police Department, along with the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District, take the safety and security of your children seriously. During various times tomorrow, and through the remainder of the school year, there will be an increased presence of officers throughout the district.”
