83 Year-Old Woman Struck By Bullet While Reading In Her Bed In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting which took place shortly after midnight this morning. This incident happened on the 4400 block of Wakefield Road in Northwest, Baltimore.

According to police, “At approximately 1:58 a.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to a home in the 4400 block of Wakefield Road, for a report of a shooting. Once there, officers located an 83- year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in bed reading a book when a round came through the window, striking the victim in the arm.”
