16 Year-Old Arrested In Baltimore Murder

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department have made an arrest in a homicide which took place yesterday afternoon. This incident happened on the 2800 Block of Edmondson Avenue in Western Baltimore.

According to investigators, “At approximately 1:20 p.m., officers working in the Western District were conducting a warrant initiative when they heard gunfire. As officers approached the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue, they located a 34-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the body. Medics arrived to the location and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.”

A 16 year-old male from Baltimore has been arrested. He was brought to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he has been charged as an adult with 1st and 2nd Degree Murder.

While working in the area, officers heard a gunshot and found the 16-year-old male suspect armed with a gun. He was attempting to run but was ultimately apprehended by officers. The officers also recovered a handgun from the suspect.

Police believe the murder escalated from an argument.
