False Alarm Causes Stir At Central Regional High School

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – A panic alarm at Central Regional High School caused a stir this morning and police response to the building.

It turned out to be a false alarm.

“This morning Berkeley Township patrol and detectives responded to Central Regional High School for a panic alarm,” the Berkeley Township Police Department reported. “It was quickly determined to be a false alarm possible set off from storm-related electrical issues.”

Passing thunderstorms overnight dumped rain across Ocean County with hundreds of lightning strikes in the area.
