15-Year-Old Charged for Discharging Gun in Utica, No Injuries Reported

UTICA, NY – A 15-year-old was charged with reckless endangerment and illegal possession of a gun after police responded to a shots fired incident on May 18th.

“At approximately 7:20 PM Utica Police units were dispatched to the intersection of Arthur St and Steuben St regarding a shots fired investigation,” police said. “Through the investigation it was learned that the incident was captured on surveillance video. The Mohawk Valley Crime Analysis Center distributed the video and photograph of the suspect throughout the agencies it covers, and the individual was recognized by a member of our Crime Prevention Team.”

Based on this positive identification and previous evidence located a 15 year old male was charged.
