UTICA, NY – Police in Utica have arrested Roy Zehr age 32 for a commercial burglary that took place on June 3, 2022. At that time, Utica Police units were dispatched to the 1100 block of Miller St regarding a burglary investigation to a business.

“Upon arrival, they were informed that a suspect had used a picnic table to make entry into a window that was high off the ground, and once inside proceeded to steal money, electronics, and keys to the building,” Utica police reported. “With the assistance of employees of the business, the officers were able to view the surveillance footage and immediately recognized the offending party.”

Police said a “Be On the Look Out” (BOLO) alert was immediately issued, and within minutes an officer located the suspect a short distance away and conducted a stop.

“When he was stopped, the male was in possession of a tote bag with the business logo on the outside and the stolen property within,” police said.
