D.C. Police Arrest Suspect In Shooting of Young Woman

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department have made an arrest in a shooting that took place on May 22nd. This incident happened on the 3500 block of 13th Street in Southeast, D.C.

According to police, “At approximately 7:16 pm, officers responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim, inside a residence, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The detectives’ investigation revealed that this offense was domestic in nature.”

26 year-old Isaiah Smith, of Southeast, D.C. was arrested on June 7th and charged with Aggravated Assault While Armed.
