34-Year-Old Killed in Jersey City Sunday

JERSEY CITY, NJ – A 34-year-old man was shot on Martin Luther King Boulevard Sunday night and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

“On Sunday, June 12, 2022, at approximately 11:15 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department responded to the area of Forrest Street and Martin Luther King Drive after an individual reported a shooting to Police Officers patrolling the area. The responding officers confirmed that a shooting had taken place at that location, but no victims were found,” Suarez reported today. “An injured male victim of the shooting, later identified as Kyle Howard, age 34, of Newark, was privately transported to Jersey City Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 13, 2022. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.”

No arrests have been made at this time.
