16-Year-Old Male Struck in Columbus Shooting

COLUMBUS, OH- The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Monday night in the area of West Broad Street and North Warren Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to the area on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the 16-year-old victim suffering a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.

“The victim stated that he had no idea what happened when he heard a friend yell “watch out” and then
his leg was burning,” according to police. “The victim saw a vehicle drive away fast but couldn’t describe it.”
