Lakewood Police Stand Guard at Private Business that Banned Boys Under 17 from Restaurant

LAKEWOOD, NJ – Inside the Orthodox Jewish enclave of Westgate on the Jackson and Lakewood border, trouble is brewing at a local popular eatery. Yesterday, the Lakewood Scoop reported that the owner of Snaps, a store inside the West Gate Plaza shopping center, had announced he was banning boys under the age of 17 after previous unruly behavior, unless they are accompanied by an adult.

The popular Kosher restaurant, formerly ‘Yussi’s’ is a popular dining hall destination known for its fresh food, such as its incredible YFC, Yussi’s Fried Chicken which usually sells out completely each night.

According to the Lakewood Scoop, the decision was made by owner Yussi Weisz to bar underage boys from eating inside the restaurant after a group of boys ‘acted rowdy’ and ’caused unnecessary disturbances’.

In response to that announcement, Weisz decided to hire Lakewood Police officer to provide security at the business.
