Two Suspects Involved in Murder of 20 Year-Old D.C. Man Charged

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Homicide Branch of the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department have extradited two suspects back to Washington, D.C. for the January 21st shooting death of a 20 year-old man. This incident happened on the 3800 block of Commodore Joshua Barney Drive in Northeast, D.C.

According to investigators, “At approximately 8:36 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where despite all life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.”

20 year-old Marquette White, of Northeast, D.C. was identified as the victim.

19 year-old Maurice Williams, Jr. and 18 year-old Seaun McDowney, were arrested in Atlanta Georgia on April 28th. After an extradition McDowney and Williams were charged with First Degree Murder While Armed- Felony Murder.
