Two-Year-Old Boy Hit and Run Victim in Manhattan’s Lower East Side

NEW YORK, NY – A 2-year-old boy who was crossing the street with his father at the intersection of Suffolk Street and East Houston Street in Manhattan’s Lower East Side last week was struck by a passing man on a scooter. The man did not stop after the crash and fled the scene.

The boy suffered minor injuries and required on-site EMS treatment; the New York City Police Department said this week. Now, after obtaining a photo of the scooter operator, police are hoping the public can help them with a positive identification of the suspect.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
