D.C. Police Make Arrest in Machete Attack

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating an incident involving a machete that took place in the early morning hours on Saturday. Police have made an arrest. This altercation happened on the 1300 Block of 7th Street in Northwest D.C.

According to investigators, “At approximately 2:20 am, the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation at the listed location. During the altercation the suspect brandished a machete and cut the victim. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was treated on the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.”

40 year-old Ngozi Johnson, of Northwest, D.C. was arrested on June 18th and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. This case remains under investigation.
