Boy Taken During New York City Carjacking Has Been Located and Safe

NEW YORK CITY - NYPD police cars.

NEW YORK, NY – A young boy who was taken during an armed carjacking in Harlem Monday morning has been found safely and is in the care of a relative today.

The New York City Police Department reported that at 6:00 am Monday morning, a child was abducted during an armed carjacking that took place in Harlem. Police said two suspects approached the toddler’s father near East 117th Street and First Avenue and threatened to shoot him. The men then sped off in the man’s gold 2005 Honda Accord with the child still inside the car.
