WATCH: NYPD Mounts Another Successful Distressed Boater Rescue in Jamaica Bay

NEW YORK CITY, NY – For the second time this week, the New York City Police Department’s air and marine rescue units have safely recovered another distressed boater in Jamaica Bay.

The NYPD Aviation’s Air Sea Rescue unit once again saved a life in Jamaica Bay. After receiving a 911 call reporting an overturned kayak in the vicinity of the Canarsie Pier, the team observed the kayaker and deployed two divers. They were able to safely hoist him onboard and bring him safely to shore.
