Anne Arundel County Bids Farewell to Retiring 94-Year-Old Crossing Guard

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – When we’re in our 90s, most of us will be happy first to have made it that far in life. Many would be glad to be able to walk, but for 94-year-old Cecil Cupid, each day for the past 21 years, he helped others walk.

At 94, the popular and well liked crossing guard is hanging up his stop sign. He announced his retirement.

“Today we celebrated 94-year-old Crossing Guard Cecil Cupid’s last day serving the citizens of Anne Arundel County. Crossing Guard Cupid served the Anne Arundel County community for 21 years,” the AACPD said today.
