77-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed Execution-Style in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police in Philadelphia are investigating an execution-style murder of an elderly man on L Street that happened on Tuesday.

According to police, detectives are attempting to identify the individual depicted in recently released surveillance video excerpts, as part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting death of a 77-year-old male, that occurred on Tuesday at about 5:33 AM in in the rear alley of the 4200 block of “L” Street.

“After running up to the victim from behind and shooting him in the head the suspect continues running northbound through the alley towards the 1300 block of Bristol Street,” police reported.
