D.C. Police Arrest Assault And Robbery Suspect

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department Detectives have made an arrest in a robbery and assault that took place on yesterday afternoon. This incident happened on in the 1400 block of West Virginia Avenue in Northeast, D.C.

According to detectives, “At approximately 12:18 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.”

45-year-old Omari Lewis of Southeast, D.C. was arrested yesterday and charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).
