San Francisco Police Seeking the Public’s Assistance in Locating Sexual Assault Suspect 22-083

On Sunday June 12, 2022 at approximately 6:23 a.m., San Francisco police officers from Ingleside station responded to the area of Geneva and San Jose Avenues regarding a sexual assault. Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim, a 20-year-old female. The victim was walking near Bannock Street and Seneca Avenue when the suspect bumped into her. The victim continued onto Cayuga Street and while on the 1200 block, was assaulted from behind by the same suspect.  

The suspect restricted the victim’s breathing and covered her mouth. During the struggle the suspect forced the victim to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to fight off the suspect who fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading northbound on Cayuga Avenue.  

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department’s Special Victims Unit are leading the investigation and seeking public assistance in locating this sexual assault suspect. He is approximately five feet tall and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark shoes with a white stripe and white shoelaces. The suspect may have injuries to his fingers or hands from the struggle with the victim.
