MUNICH – Volkswagen is optimistic about the second half of the year in terms of sales, its Chief Financial Officer Arno Antlitz said on Wednesday.

Speaking at the Reuters Events Automotive Europe 2022 conference, Antlitz also said ramping up battery supply chains was the most challenging goal in an EU deal reached earlier on proposed laws to phase out new fossil fuel car sales from 2035.

He also reiterated that the company was still working on a potential listing of Porsche AG in the fourth quarter of the year despite market uncertainty.
