BALTIMORE, MD – July started in the city of Baltimore the same way June ended a few minutes earlier, with a shooting murder.

On Friday, at approximately 12:02 a.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 500 block of North Payson Street to investigate a possible hit-and-run accident.

It turns out more than a hit and run took place.

“Once at the location, officers located a 44-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later,” Police said.

45 minutes, earlier the city closed June with an 11:10 pm murder on Thorndale Avenue. In that shooting, police also found a victim shot inside their car.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Baltimore Police Department Homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.
